Baby Smurf Crochet Free Pattern


 

Good Morning Everyone,

I wanted to create something fun. Exploring my childhood days I guess. A week ago I had created a larger version of this Baby Smurf (Benji and Barney Bigfoot) shown below.


I had thoughts of making a smaller version and using up some yarn remnants. I came upon Baby Smurf, offering you this free pattern which I designed. The finished size of this doll is 6 inches without the hat and 10 inches with the hat. Size is dependent on the yarn and hook used.  So, let's get started.

Materials used:

3.75 crochet hook (F-5)

Yarn #4 weight

    White

     Blue

      Black (DK-sport yarn for eyebrows and hair sprigs)

Stitch markers

Yarn needle

Polyfil for stuffing

Safety eyes size 9mm

Terms and Symbols used:

using blue yarn

Small make 4 (2 for each foot)

Sew toes onto each foot.

Do Not Stuff. Fold in half and sew seam closed. Leaving long tail for sewing,


Eyes   make 2

using white yarn

R1 ch 5

R2  sc in second chain from hook using front loops only, sc in next 2ch, 2sc in last ch (5)

R3 working around the chain using back loops, sc 4, 2sc in last ch   (6). Join to first sc.

R4 work around using both loops.  sc 3, 2sc in next, 2sc in next, 4sc, slp. Finish leaving long tail for sewing.


Head using blue yarn

Assemble Face

Position eyes 9 rows down from top and 3 stitches between. Sew in place. Attach black safety eyes.

Nose- Attach directly between both eyes.

Ears- Attach 7 stitches from the side of each eye and 14 rows down from top.

Stuff the head firmly. Use extra stuffing to form the cheeks and nose pushing the stuffing outward.

slp into next stitch and pull yarn through. Finish.

Eyebrows and hair sprigs using black yarn.  Sew the head onto the body. Sew the feet onto the body.

You can attach hat if you like.  Be creative. Dress Baby Smurf's diaper with baby safety pins.

Making an Itty Bitty Bunny and Carrot Case-Free Pattern

Making an Itty Bitty Bunny and Carrot Case. This little bunny is 3 inches tall and 1 inch wide, the carrot case is 6 inches long and 2 wide.. Using Amigurumi yarn or a sport yarn with a #2 fineness and a 2.25 hook. This is a free pattern.
