What you will need:
4 colors of acrylic yarn- 2 contrasting colors and 1 complimentary color, and white
The head, collar, and wings are 1 color
The body and beak are both 1 color
The comb and wattles are both 1 color
6 dots are white
Hook size 3.25 mm for an overall dimension of 6" tall and 4"wide.
Yarn needle for sewing pieces together
straight pins for holding pieces in place
black safety eyes 8mm
fiberfill for stuffing

Body- starting at the bottom

Eye placement between row 6 & 7, 4 stitches apart.
Begin stuffing. Stuff the firmly.

Stuff firmly and gather with yarn needle to close.
The overall shape should be like that of Mrs. Puff on Spongebob Squarepants. My second test was that it was rather narrow and long. I think it should be rather stout and chubby like the one above.

slip stitch in 4th chain from hook (making 1 picot).
slip stitch in next chain, *chain 3, slip stitch in same stitch to form next picot*. Repeat ** to the end of the chain. Unroll the chain a join with a slip stitch to form a circle. Place circle collar at the neckline where the color change occurs.
Wings use same as head color (make 2)

Beak placement
Place beak by securing to head at center between the eyes and fasten around.
Comb using contrasting color (3rd color)
chain 16
sc in 2nd chain from hook, hdc in next ch, 3 dc in next ch, hdc in next ch, sc, slip stitch in next ch,
1sc, hdc, 3 dc in next ch, hdc, sc, slip stitch in next, sc, sc, slip stitch to finish.
Comb placement
Sew to fasten on the head staying close to the stitches of the comb.
Wattles using the same color as the comb
chain 10
slip stitch in 4th chain from hook (forming 1st picot), slip stitch in next *ch and chain 3, slip stitch in same stitch*, repeat. When you reach the end, chain 10 again and do the same beginning with slip stitch in 4th chain from hook. Meeting in the middle and join with slip stitch.
Fold wattles in half and secure with a few stitches then fasten to the head under the beak.
Dots using white yarn (make 6)

finish off
Sew on body 3 front and 3 back
